For generations, Catholic schools provided free, and then affordable education to families seeking to raise Catholic children. While free Catholic education is no longer a reality, many Catholic families continue to seek out a Catholic education for their children. They make willing sacrifices to invest in the character formation of their children and their economic future.
Character and faith formation are necessities in our 21st-century world. A child who develops a firm understanding of right and wrong and God's grace at an early age grows into the middle school and high school years equipped with the tools to handle peer pressure and their natural need for increased autonomy.
Supporting a student at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic School ensures families in Swarthmore and Ridley Township have educational options in addition to the local public school districts. Notre Dame de Lourdes School's tuition remains the lowest in Delaware County. At the same time, we've had 2 Neuman Scholars (full scholarship for an Archdiocesan high school) and many partial scholarships for graduating eighth graders planning on attending one of the local Catholic high schools.
