The primary purpose of the CARES (Children Are Receiving Extended Services) Program is to provide a productive before and after-school program in a safe and caring environment for younger children or working parents. The other aspect is to relieve parents of the additional concern for childcare in the event of any family emergency, occasional shopping spree, or doctor's visit. Our CARES program is staffed by our teachers and offers a balance of homework time and fun time with a snack.
The program is offered from 7:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. in the morning and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the afternoon on school days. The schedule matches the days of attendance of the school calendar and does not include Saturdays, holidays, half days, or any day on which school might be closed for an emergency. A monthly CARES letter will be sent home to keep you informed of any additional days CARES would not be offered.
Morning CARES fee is $11.00 per day.
** Any preschool student dropped off before their designated time will be charged a $5.00 fee daily.
Afternoon CARES fees are as follows:
$11.00 per hour for the first child and $5.00 per day for each additional child. All that is required is a note to the office or a phone call (610-328-9330), made prior to 2:30 p.m. on the day your child will be staying.
CARES billing is done every two weeks and the payment amount is entered into your FACTS account bi-weekly.
