Through Saint Faustina, Jesus has requested for us to precede the Feast of Divine Mercy, also known as Divine Mercy Sunday, with a Novena. Notre Dame de Lourdes, a Catholic elementary in Swarthmore, PA, invites you to pray this Novena as a family this year.
Not only will these signs and symbols engage curiosity, they're also all very accessible and can be found around the house or in the yard! These paired with the story telling of the Gospels make for a fruitful Holy Week experience for the entire family.
The OLP Drama Program superbly performed “Disney’s Beauty & the Beast Jr.” last weekend at our gym and our parish children gave a stunning performance. Accomplishing 5 shows, the children “AMAZED” friends and family alike with their incredible stage presence, exceptional talent and genuine “BEAUTY”. Because of their dedication to this program the show was a huge success. KUDOS to them and all the parents for their sacrifice in making the overall Drama Program such a triumph.
This week Notre Dame de Lourdes elementary school is administering TerraNova tests. TerraNova Assessments are a series of standardized tests that the Archdiocese of Philadelphia uses to measure student achievement in math, reading, and other core subjects.
The grade with the most shares and comments in the 24-hour voting period was crowned the "Most Spirited Class." With overwhelming numbers, the Class of 2022 was declared the winner! Facebook 1,545 People reached; 265 Post Engagements; 68 Reactions (Not counted but impressive numbers) 47 Comments and 26 Shares! Looking for tangible, concrete ways for your family to celebrate Black History Month at home? In our Catholic School, it’s critical that our students learn about the importance of Black History and celebrate different cultural traditions this month and always. What better an opportunity than Black History Month to share some resources with our families?
Notre Dame de Lourdes students are presented with a check from Mr. Kevin Kelly from the Foundation for Catholic Education. Donors participated in the Tuition Care Program which resulted in tuition credits for students in Grades K-8. Thank you to all of our donors and to the Foundation!
