 Novena of Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood and Consecrated Life
 
Lord Jesus, bless the Archdiocese of Philadelphia with priests after your heart. May the young men of our parishes whom You are calling to be priests respond generously. Give them the courage and the insight to discern your invitation by speaking with a trusted priest or friend.
 
We pray as well for the young women of our parishes to consider the consecrated life. May their prayer be that of Mary - to proclaim the greatness of the Lord - through a life of service as consecrated religious.
 
Most Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - we are confident that you will hear our prayer and send good priests and consecrated religious to guide us.

Lord Jesus, as You once called the first disciples to make them fishers of men, let Your sweet invitation continue to resound: Come, follow Me! Give young men and women the grace of responding quickly to Your voice. Support our bishops, priests, and consecrated people in their apostolic labor. Grant perseverance to our seminarians and to all those who are carrying out the ideal of a life totally consecrated to Your service. Mary, Mother of the Church, the model of every vocation, help us to say "Yes" to the Lord who calls us to cooperate in the divine plan of salvation.

Your faith-filled people have humbly sacrificed their time, talent and treasure in building a community of believers with Jesus Christ as our foundation and cornerstone. We look to the future with grateful hearts. Instill in us the desire to share our heritage of Faith and to invite others to embrace our vision of Hope.
 
Under the guidance of your Holy Spirit and the patronage of our Blessed Mother, St. John Neumann, and St. Katharine Drexel, may your Kingdom continue to grow within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Through their intercession and the generosity of many, may our Heritage of Faith - Vision of Hope campaign be successful. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
